Switch 1197 is owned and operated by Brisbane Interactive Radio Group Inc. (BIRGI) and was founded in 1999.
Switch 1197 is a Brisbane based community radio station which has been involved in the community for the past ten years. Our aim is to provide a link for the community and the organisations within Brisbane, as well as to deliver relevant and up to date information and content, to benefit the youth of Brisbane.
We broadcast a range of information and music, including genres such as Dance, Pop, Top 40, RnB, Hip-Hop, House, Trance and more.
We are a non-profit organisation and rely solely on sponsorship, membership and the generosity of the Brisbane community to operate. Switch 1197 value the relationships it has with the community and endeavours to forge strong partnerships with other organisations.
